Photo Hunters: Creative
Trying to come up with a photo to describe the theme 'Creative' probably requires more creativity than the topic itself. LOL, I think I just wrote a tongue twister! Anyway, here is my object of creativity! Ta da.......
Just a dining table, you say? Read on.
Note the fine wood and handiwork.
Note the intricate brass elephant designs
What's a chain doing in the middle of a table?
LOL, to steal a line from the movie 'Transformers', there's more than meets the eye. This is no ordinary table.
This table actually started off life as a door in India.
There are these antique shops in Dubai which collect these doors, place a glass top, add four legs to it and voila! a cool dining table. This cool piece of furniture now resides in my friend's house in Penang which I thought perfectly epitomizes the creativity of the designers who came up with the idea, and also reflects the creativity of the people who designed the beautiful door.
Here's a top down view of the 'door table'. Interesting, huh!
Sorry, thought it would be fun to do this the long-winded way.

The Daily Matters
When i was growing up, Dad brought home a new table too! It was a door that was varnished --flat with no design other than the wood pattern and 6 ft. long. He added legs to it and it became our breakfast nook table. he made benches that stored stuff on either side and that is the only table i remember growing up.
So using a door for a table is nothing new to me.
