Of Prodigal Sons and Open Seasons

Sunday was pretty fast flowing. We had a quick church service which ended in about one and a half hours. The sermon was given by Sherman(one of my links) on 'The Prodigal Son'.

In the evening, I watched 'Open Season' with a few church friends. Very cute cast of animal characters and cool animation. The look and feel of the show reminded me of the old 'Yogi Bear' cartoons. It is quite funny but there are no major memorable moments. I think that's a problem with most animation movies nowadays. Too much focus on eye candy and too little emphasis on the storyline. But it was an entertaining one and a half hour. I hope 'The Prestige' will be a better bet.

After service on sunday afternoons, I would prefer to spend the rest of the waking hours away from distractions. But this is just me.

Let's hope the movie was rated PG-13; otherwise, poor Jonzz couldn't get in without an adult supervising him. tee hee.
