Deprived?
It's half past nine and I'm in the office. It's been pouring since I left the office earlier.
These dark hallways seem much more peaceful after work. Non of that creepy foreboding that my hyperactive imagination usually conjures up under such conditions.
Someone said maybe the frying of my computer is God's divine intervention. Well, if I wanted to act holier than thou, I would have retorted, everything in life depends on God's intervention. Growing older has mellowed me, albeit slightly.
Initially, I was desperate to get a replacement for my home PC. Maybe a grand laptop. There was a tempting promotion by HP and Streamyx, dangled like a carrot in front of this IT donkey. But after some contemplation, I realize I don't really need another machine to occupy my after-office hours. The only thing, the home computer has done for me is placate my anime appetites. Well, that can wait for now.
So with little effort, I have survived two days. In fact, I seem to be thriving. I've finished my over-neglected 'Eldest', the thick sequel to 'Eragon'. And I've been jamming my under-utilized guitar into the late hours of the night.
Hmmm... wonder if this is a prelude for senility, ha ha ha ha ha.
