Tone down... (Complaints about life)

It seems that in this world, we no longer have the privilege to be ourselves. We have to tone down and mince our words when we need to speak the truth. We can't even express ourselves outright when we're angry, depressed, moody, or sad. We're expected to put on a mask and present a healthy image when everything is not alright.

Everyone goes around, carrying their masks of 'maturity', 'niceties' and basically, in my book, hypocrisy. No wonder people get misunderstood, get high blood pressure and become deeply bitter inside.

It's so hard to find people who are real and you can relate to. For me, it shows how twisted and broken our world truly is. Sigh.
