Darkness

How beautiful the darkness
The absence of light
When the eyes of man
Cease to judge by sight
When the ears of man
Are opened wide
And our hearts can see another's plight

How very strange the darkness be
Feared by those who don't know thee
Yet in thy chambers there may be found
Freedom from the world around
One is finally alone to seek and find
Understanding and peace of mind
And in those moments of release
From God, deeps insights he shall receive
