Bloody Haze

Ever wondered how a fish feels like in a dirty aquarium?

Yesterday, I went to the gym with my pal. Looking at the hazy skies, I was glad I didn't have to exercise outdoors. However, the gym was not air-conditioned(I prefer it this way). Unfortunately, the stupid haze got the better of us...

Nasty smell in the air...
Shortness of breath...
Acidic feeling at the back of the throat...
...
My friend and I gave up after about 45 minutes.

According to a pilot, the visibility is also affecting planes. On a bad hazy day, imagine trying to land a plane when you can't see the runway at 1000 feet. Job stress!!!

I was feeling all short of breath in the morning. It reminded me of 1997, when I was working in KL. I had to take a 15 minutes walk from my office to the Puduraya bus terminal. I used a surgical mask in keeping with the paranoia then. Seems like I'll have to whip that up again soon.

When I went home for lunch and was airing my clothes, I noticed a burning rubbish pile next door. Sigh... Must control self... Increased breathing rate will only kill me faster.

If anything is going to shorten the average human lifespan in this century, I'm betting on the haze.
