Caroling Blues

My church group had a night of carolling on Christmas eve. Six houses in all. I was the sole guitarist.

Sure brought back a lot of memories.

That night's caroling session was less formal than ones I was used to when I was in a different church. We had practices months in advance. My perfectionist spirit sort of revelled in it.

So somehow during the caroling night two nights ago, I found myself slipping into a past mood, impatient and flustered over false starts and minor details. Guess I have too much of the perfectionism deeply ingrained inside and causes me great frustration when things don't turn out as well as can be.

Sigh.

On a side note, this is kind of late, but to all who are reading, have a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year to you and your family!

Oi! It's Christmas. No need to stress the small stuff, la! Just enjoy it. No one will fault you for a less than perfect rendition of any christmas carol. With my horrible singing, no one complains, So you should be OK.
Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you (I know this comment is late! ) I used to go caroling but nowadays everyone seems to be too busy to organize it. Those were great times.

Just enjoy these moments, even those tiny mistakes you make. It brings loads of smiles later on!
