Our Great Divide

When you first came into this 'simple' world

The doctor merely proclaimed you, boy or girl

Then in school people started fights
Cos' your skin painted you black or white

Then as you 'progressed' even more
Your pockets will grade you rich or poor

Classes will split your friends into smart and stupid
Seriously, you wonder who's the ones who's rigid

Tall or short, skinny or fat,
Your body became unpleasant stats

Politics and religions, addictions and sex
Each decision you made paid a heavy tax

But at the end of the day
Irregardless by what truths you were bound
Your last grading will leave you in a box
Six feet underground

I'm sure in the course of your blogging and blog-hopping, you would have encountered and maybe made friends with people with different sexual preferences.

If you're unlucky enough, you'll even discover some people whom you call friends, will even condemn you by who you chat with online, or whose blog you visit.

As I reflect on this, two Bible verses come to mind,

John 8: 7 "If any one of you is without sin,
let him be the first to throw the stone . . ."

Matthew 7: 1-2 "Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged,
And with the measure you use, it will be measured to you"
