Spaghetti Specialist

I'm having writer's block. Taking a cue from mott, I shall blog about my cooking adventure today.

Today, I cooked spaghetti for a friend. For fun. For showing off. Whatever you call it, I did it again. (Hmm... sounds very Britney Spear-ish)

For my deemed 'Supreme Seafood Spaghetti', I used the following ingredients:
  1. 1 Jar of Prego Tomato, Basil and Garlic sauce (Absolutely essential =P, I can't make sauce for peanuts!)
  2. A packet of Angel Hair Spaghetti (fast to cook, good to eat)
  3. 1 can of button mushrooms (halve halve halve)
  4. 5 local tomatoes delicately cleansed with E-Excel Vege-wash (cube cube cube)
  5. RM 11 worth of large sotongs (5 pieces, less manhandling when they're big)
  6. RM 6 worth of prawns (I HATE PEELING PRAWNS! MAKES MY HANDS SMELLY!)
  7. A few cloves of garlic (chop chop chop)
  8. For seasoning: oregano, 3 bay leaves and hot salsa sauce
  9. and for some glamour: extra virgin olive oil
MUA HA HA HA HA HA HA! I can feel the roar of 'Extravagant! Extravagant! Extravagant!' ringing away!

The verdict: TA DA.......

These are the humble remains of jonzz's spaghetti fiesta. Note the extremely large portions of cholesterol inducing ingredients. This is less than one fifth of the sauce and the rest were finished by two very greedy people. WA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

Note: This blog author is a bit cuckoo from overeating.

you never go for cooking basics eh? A bowl of lemon juice works wonders for these kind of things.

And btw, are your sphagettii done "al dente"? if not, I don't want them! :P

LM: Wah so fussy. For your info, I hate soft squishy overdone noodles.

The way to remove stinky prawn smell off fingers is to rub them with lime (cut opened of course!)

Next time, try using white button mushrooms instead of the canned brown ones. Much nicer!

And you did not use big yellow onions? Only garlic ah?

btw, I make wicked beef bologness and I too like to eat them with angel hair spaghetti.. Yum yum!!

Yours look very extravagant indeed.
